| New Singapore Standard Code of Practice CP: 77 In Force (1st January 2002) The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has put in force a new Singapore Standard: Code of Practice for Bunker Surveying (SS CP77) with effect of 1st January 2002. SS CP 77 sets out the procedures, and the documentation and equipment requirements for surveying of a bunkering operation between a bunker barge / tanker and a vessel. It covers pre-delivery, actual delivery and post-delivery checks and documentation. All bunker surveyors operating in the Singapore port are required to hold a valid Bunker Surveyor Licence issued by the MPA. They are required to comply with SS CP 77 when carrying out bunker surveying work. To apply for the licence, bunker surveyors must attend a 2-day Bunker Surveying Course and pass an examination. The course trains bunker surveyors on the bunker survey requirements, procedures and documentation as set out in the SS CP77.
